Tzu Zoo Rescue

Tara was rescued on Saturday, April 18th, available to rescue due to her delicate condition.  Before we knew it, the babies started coming.  See my blog for photos.

Tara is a first time mama and thus, it will be her only time.  She handled it like a pro, birthing 2 on her own before we realized she was due, one while we were watching.  She acted as if she were done, took a large potty break and settled in with her puppies, sending her foster mom back to work.  Much to our surprise, she gave birth to two more.  That is 5 total, 4 girls and 1 boy.  We have no early idea of their mix, but we just know they are tiny.  Sticking with the Gone With The Wind Theme, their names are Scarlet O'Hara, Melanie, Sue Ellen, Miss Pitty Pat, and lastly Rhett Butler.

Rhett Butler  Only Male and all Black

Scarlet           Larger of the two tan ones

Melanie         Smallest of the tan ones

Pitty Pat         More white than black

Prissy            Other black and white

Tara is giving us a scare by not eating, thus having a hard time producing milk.  Pray she will turn it around as we don't know who would be able to bottle feed these babies every 2-3 hours.
