Two of our awesome rescue volunteers, Ja Peck and Cheryl Evans, are pleased to present their beautiful handmade quilts which they have carefully and lovingly made for the purpose of helping to save needy little dogs.
When you buy one of their quilts, Ja and Cheryl will donate all the proceeds (over the cost of their materials) to our rescue!
Not only will you be warm and cozy, but you will also be helping to save dogs that need a chance to find their forever home and the love they so rightfully deserve.
Three of the quilts are designed by Ja which she named "The Big Easy". All three of "The Big Easy" quilts are large lap or throw quilts however the green one is large enough to cover a twin bed or day bed. The Turning Twenty pattern is even larger and would fit perfectly on a double bed. Of course you could still use it as a throw. Ja is about ready to post some lap size rag quilts for sale, so check back soon!
All of the quilts are made of 100% cotton and all are lined with a warm and natural cotton batting. All quilts are machine washable and can be put in the dryer. These quilts are signed by the artists with the Tzu Zoo label that has the Matthew 25:35 bible verse embroidered on the back.
The photo to the left shows both the front and the back sides of The Big Easy Green Quilt. Below is a lap size Rag Quilt. (Click photos to enlarge view.) All of these quilts are heirloom quality and will last a lifetime or longer. They make wonderful gifts.
At a craft show or on the internet, the regular "street" price for these would be about double what Ja and Cheryl are asking. So while the cost seems to be up there, it is considerably less than market value and it's cheap considering these will last a lifetime. If you wish to make an additional donation to help save the dogs (above and beyond their asking price) you would still be receiving a nice bargain.
